About M. Scott Moore

For the past 26 years, Scott Moore has helped numerous clients throughout the Southeast United States prepare for retirement and protect their retirement assets. Before Scott found his passion of helping people protect and preserve their lifetime savings, he began his career as an engineer in the computer industry, utilizing his degree in electronics from Phillips Business College in Mississippi. After 9 years of work in the computer industry, and becoming a Sales Support Vice President, Scott transitioned to the financial industry where he has received several top honors in his field including being honored with the distinguished “Advisor of the Year” title in 2011, 2012, and 2013 from one of the top independent advisor organizations in the country.

Scott is the founder and President of Moore’s Wealth Management and is a member of the Greater Hall County, Forsyth County, and White County Chamber’s of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and the distinguished National Ethics Association. Scott is an Investment Advisor Representative and a fiduciary. As a fiduciary, Scott is held to a much higher professional standard than a typical broker. He is also one of an elite group of members as an “Ed Slott Master Elite IRA Advisor” where there are fewer than 400 members across the nation. With many years of experience, knowledge, and dedication to serving the financial needs of seniors, Scott is a skilled financial professional who utilizes the latest estate planning and investment techniques to design and implement personalized strategies that can help reduce financial risk, lower taxes, avoid probate, and protect assets from nursing home costs. In addition to these services, Scott provides education classes at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia Perimeter College, formally known as Georgia State University in Alpharetta, as well as the Lanier Tech campus in Cumming, where he enlightens seniors on how to develop efficient plans for retirement. This specific course is taught in over 300 colleges and universities across the United States. Over the course of one year, he will teach an average of 26 classes across the 4 campuses.

His offices are located in Alpharetta and Gainesville, Georgia, where he and his three older sons, Chris, Brian, and Kyle, enjoy serving others in their growing financial family firm. In 2012, Mark Peterson, another fiduciary advisor, joined the practice assisting Scott with teaching the college courses and social security classes while continuing to serve the senior market. Scott and Carla, his wife of 35 years, have five children ranging in age from 22 to 34 and six wonderful grandchildren. In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and attending automotive enthusiast events as well as restoring classic cars.
